Video: BMW PGA Champs Tee’s Off
The stage is set and everything is a go at Day 1 of the BMW PGA Championship.
This weeks European Tour event provides much added excitement with a pace of play management device, previously tested at the Open de Bretagne on the Challenge Tour two weeks ago, to be used to track players’ field flow and pace of play.
The system will provide a level of transparency yet to be seen on the professional tour.
There will be on-tee video boards at some holes that displays each groups position in relation to the group in front of them. Players, referees and the fans all will know if the groups keeping up the pace.
The results will be interesting as many professional golfers have expressed their thoughts on pace of play.
