In this Quick 9 edition, we sit down with one of the key figures behind the success at Pine Hills, Owner, Scott Kozar.
1. How would you describe your morning routine to kickstart your day?
Coffee and breakfast and an early start.
2. What do you like most about working at Pine Hills?
The challenge of constantly improving as well as meeting our customers, to set the tone from the second they walk through our doors, ensuring they have a great golfing experience.
3. Has golf always been your first love? What other sports/team are you a fan of?
Golf is my second love. I played American football for many years. I’m a big ice hockey fan too.
4. What is your favorite/greatest round of golf experience?
Probably last year at our annual charity tournament. We have a full field (140 golfers) and a Ryder Cup format with two-man teams. We weren’t playing too well and I ended up hitting a great tee shot on our toughest hole and following that up with a tough breaking putt. Won a skin and closest to the pin against a very good field.
5. How easy is it to implement Tagmarshal? How have your customers responded to the on-course experience?
There is so much capability, you need to take the training and focus. The support has been great and we found many more benefits then we had originally expected.
6. What are the top benefits of incorporating Tagmarshal into your daily operations?
Knowing where our customers are allows us to get more players out every day. It allows us to overcome staff shortages by communicating directly with customers from the pro shop.
The geofencing feature has enabled us to quickly reopen after rain and still provide a venue that’s safe for our customers and protects the course.
7. What goals have you set with Tagmarshal in order to achieve further success this season?
The geofencing offers smaller portions of holes to allow for faster play. We also hope to improve our F&B ordering to reduce the disruption of ordering on the turn.

The Mountain Course. A natural beauty along with interesting terrain.
10. If you could be a caddie on Tour, whose caddie would you like to be and why?
Jordan Spieth. He is a passionate player, who has a great complement of shots.
