An hour’s drive from Calgary, Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club was incorporated as a golfing society in 1983. Over the next 20 years, Priddis Greens opened four 9-hole courses, eventually forming two 18-hole layouts, the Raven and the Hawk.
Both courses are set in mature forests within the rolling foothills of the Rockies, showcasing an area of outstanding natural beauty.
In our latest Quick 9 interview, Head Golf Professional John Wilson chatted to us about his role at the club, and how members have embraced the increased use of technology.
How would you describe your morning routine to kickstart your day?
A 5am wake up and a big coffee, before taking my 3 dogs – Berkeley, Finn and Buck – for a walk. Then a shower and I head to the golf course for 7ish!
Has golf always been your first love? What other sports/teams are you a fan of?
I started playing golf at 6 years old, but I started playing hockey at 4 years old. Love them both equally!
Tell us about your role at Priddis Greens? Why is it important?
My role as the Head Professional of a 36-hole private golf course with 1,300 members is to be engaged with them continually and to provide mentorship and support to our golf operations team.

I would love to caddie for Max Homa! He just seems like such a great guy and so appreciative of where he is in his life on tour!
