Objective:

Tagmarshal is changing the world of Golf Operations through data and has developed leading traction in the USA, Europe, Canada, the UK and South Africa. We are looking for a new team member who adds value to our development and product team. Our unique team is accountable, keen to learn and executes results and plans within their focus.

Responsibilities:

We work in an Agile Scrum framework and run 2-week sprints

PHP/MongoDB application maintenance and development

Linux server maintenance and system optimisation

Managing and maintaining a large number of Linux servers

Planning and designing cloud infrastructure with AWS

Maintaining and deploying cloud applications

Building tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environment

Support and maintain the Tagmarshal software application(s)

Execute system enhancements, scale and stability improvements

Oversee operational processes including: implementations, testing, bug fixing and planning

Documentation and testing

Actively communicate with stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure contribution to and delivery of a world class application and solution

Report on measurable key performance indicators and be pro-active in solving challenges as they arise

Project management tool logging and updating

Git source code management

Requirements:

Identify opportunities for further product enhancement in line with market demands and opportunities

Actively partake in research and development on future technology and solutions opportunities for the company

Actively partake in solutions architecture planning, scale architecture planning, technology strategy planning and execution

Identify and recommend strategies to maximizing client satisfaction and product usage

Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect improvements in the software application, business objectives and any development within the company

Education/Experience:

Knowledge of AWS (beneficial), PHP and node.js with 5+ years of coding experience

An interest in exploring and utilising web technologies and best practices, and desire to continuously improve your skills in a team environment

Knowledge of LAMP stack

App development experience or interest is advantageous

An interest in exploring and utilising web technologies and best practices, and desire to continuously improve your skills in a team environment

API design and distributed back-end systems experience or interest is advantageous

AWS experience

AWS certifications is advantageous
