Tagmarshal announces new partnership with the Southern Texas PGA

Golf course optimization software experts, Tagmarshal, are excited to announce a new partnership with the Southern Texas PGA Section, as they look to engage with and add value to PGA Professionals in this region.

Tagmarshal’s optimization technology assists Golf Managers in effectively managing flow and pace of play, using a hybrid of advanced GPS technology and machine learning, thereby optimizing on-course operations, enhancing the player experience, increasing efficiency and generating additional revenue.

Their partnership with the Southern Texas PGA includes the sponsorship of the popular STPGA Eastern Chapter Pro-Pro, to be held at Westwood Country Club in November, as well as sharing educational opportunities, such as online webinars and more.

Quick 9: Bill Levy – Boca Rio Golf Club

In our latest round of Quick 9’s, we chat to Bill Levy, Director of Golf, to learn more about the driving force behind Boca Rio’s golf operations.

How would you describe your morning routine to kickstart your day?

I’m usually up at 4am to check emails and catch up with life. Then I’d head on over to the gym at 5am for a ½ hour of cardio followed by a 1-hour of weight training. Thereafter, I am back home to have a big breakfast shake and set off to work feeling ENERGIZED!!

Has golf always been your first love? What other sports/team are you a fan of?

No… I fell in love with fishing at 4 years old and then golfing at 9. 

What is your favorite/greatest round of golf experience?

7 Birdies in 9 holes.

Tell us about your role at Boca Rio? Why is it important?

As the Director of Golf, every day revolves around making Boca Rio a better place to experience golf. This is how we set ourselves apart from other clubs of equal initiation.

Why has your course decided to invest in Tagmarshal?

We want to continue to invest in Boca Rio’s success, as an elite golf club.

Since the implementation of the Tagmarshal system, how have your customers responded to the on-course experience?

They really don’t even realize we have the system since we are very relaxed in tee times and on course monitoring. What the members are experiencing, are golf rounds that are consistently unimpeded and exceptionally fast, on a day-to-day basis.
